YES I TRIED THAT
VCD NOT DVD RIGHT THE ONE STEP DIDN'T WORK WHEN TMPGENC LOADS
THEIR'S NO PICTURE THERE
IT SAY'S AVI SOURCE CANN'T BE COMPRESSED
ANYWAY I NEED STUPID GUIDE FOR DVD

try "cucusoft avi2vcd" you can d/l a trial version that lets you convert 1min of video from avi format to either vcd or svcd or dvd, there are several versions available and if you want to convert multiple files at once go for pro version. prices from $19 to $25.lot less hassle than everything else, open file start convert and leave to do its job.i have been using it for 6months and its the bees knee,s as far as i am concerned. wish you luck!

sorry bud? i gave up after trying TMPgenc and decided to buy .you can spend days looking at different free software.You,ll just have to persevere?
