Spybot S & D

i just instaleld spybot and it told me that i have bulletproof spyware remover installed. now, i did have it installed at one time, but when i found out how bad it wa si uninstalled it. and i dont see it on my computer. where is Spybot finding that i have BPS spyware remover?

ps. whats a quicklaunch icon?

btw, a quicklaunch icon is a shortcut that goes on the taskbar

Clean out your registry.

quicklaunch icons generally reside on your taskbar. It has this ">>" you click that and all your quicklaunch icons come up.

you need to clean your registry, most likely thats where spybot picked it up
get regseeker, or regcleaner, both of em are free

the quick launch is just kinda like an extension of the taskbar
ya dont need the quick launch icon, IMO
(you can view your quick launches by right clicking the taskbar,
holding your mouse on "toolbars", and selecting "quick launch")

thank you all so much for the replies.
i did a scan with spybot and it found BPS spyware remover for me. it was just one registry entry. however, i have run regseeker and reg mechanic before and it never found that entry. strange.
