Win Xp

I have just acquired myself a copy of win xp pro. What is the best way to put it on to my h/disc? Over 98 or clean install? do I need start up discs or do I reset my start up in bios to read d: first? I have a 120 gb h/d.

Yes, do a clean install, and just set it to read the cd-rom drive first.
