You must make 30 posts per month at our Community Forums.

Sucks - 200 Mb data transfer

Looks rather "plain"

looks good, but rather confusing:

Unmetered Space (However we can cancel your account if you use up far to much space or you can upgrade to phpBB plus hosting)
And i think you have to register on the forum to sign up with them

Um... what about your current host ? I mean, you said you had PHP/MySQL support... frankly I don't understand why you're looking for a free PHPBB host (with limitations since it's free) rather than use your own...

Well, i think about that too, but using my host for a forum i really don't know if is a good ideea , i mean we pay for the bandwith and all the things, if we gone have a forum installed too then the bill's gone be high too.

SH, I believe you have a 1&1 account. Why not use that? I'm hosting a rather large forum run by vBulletin on my site.

If you are concerned about bandwith, use a CGI-based board like UltimateBB. Though the bandwidth usage is very low, it can be very taxing on the server itself, so watch out.

If you're paying for your hosting then you might want to check out some other plans. For example, www.dathorn.com has very good deals.

There was this other site which had even better deals but it seemed unreliable so I lost the link. But maybe i'll find it again.

Why would you want phpBB anyway?

The admin controls suck and security is fucking horrible. Some things, it won't matter how you set them, they'll just do what they want anyway.
Pass your cursor over someone's hidden email link and the address is displayed in the progress bar. Nice! <_<
Tell me the bots don't pick up on things like that!

I couldn't agree more. phpBB's ACP sucks ass, it's almost as bad as vBulletin 2.x's.

Right now, I'm using vB 3.0.0 RC3 on my BBS and it's great.
