Download Acelretaor Vs. Flashget

Hi,i have FlashGet on my pc and it does work fine and it is very good,however a friend told me that download acelerator (the full name i don't know it in fact,but i know that this program's logo is a thunder or something) and well all those scam sites have download acelerator as one of their main atractions.
So it makes me think that maybe Download Accelerator may be better.

So tell me which do u think is the best?

I believe he means web accelerators. And I use DAP, but solely for segmentation.

Yupyup, DownLoad Accellerator Plus is loaded with spy/addware. As another choice, you can try Internet Download Manager. It's pretty good, good luck on finding 'alternate code' at asta-land, though.

For more choices try Download.com (http://download.com.com/3150-2071-0.html?tag=dir). They have plenty of stuff.

Hmm...not sure coolmac. Here's the link. (http://www.internetdownloadmanager.com/) It's not freeware and I've had zero luck at Asta-land finding 'alternate coding' but it does work like a charm.

how many times has this to be said, download acceleraters dont work, they just store things from webpages on ur hdd and when u goto that site agaim, it loads faster, download MANAGERS do wat the name says, they manage downloads pause/resume functions usally

DAP only contains spyware if you download the shitty free version.

The paid version is completely clean.

they both contain spyware, or thats what i've heard...i use Net Transport...much like Flashget...and its FREEWARE! :D

First of all, you guys need to find out the difference between spyware and adware.

DAP includes Ads because it is adware until you register it, and the Ads are no longer displayed. Spyware is a different thing. :smilie4:
