A newsgroup calling themselves -NoWiNBETA have posted a supposedly new build of Longhorn, build 4008. While WiNBETA claims that this build is fake, Neowin says that it is indeed real no matter what anyone says. Neowin has also posted some screenshots of the setup for this "new build" and will be posting more screenshots of the OS itself within the hour. View the setup screenshots below, and stay tuned for more screenshots! (The below screenshots are hosted on my personal webspace to take the load off of Neowin.)

ieXbeta can not confirm this build to be real.

I don't know. I'm not all that interested in Longhorn, because I recently got XP and I don't feel like getting another OS. ;)

This (http://www.winsupersite.com/reviews/longhorn_alpha.asp) site has "previews" of it, but, as with most supposed stuff with prerelease software and alphas and betas, you have to take it all with a grain of salt.

Thanks for all your help Nakor. I will try it on a spare hard drive if I ever get it.

PsychoClowns, Longhorn is not new. The project announcement was stated when Windows XP was released.

Why would you want it? The beta doesn't support any software or internet connections, so it's basically useless.
