Although he's looked upon as a freak just now, he will always be remembered for being possibly the most talented musician/artist/entertainer that has ever lived. Anyone who was old enough in the 80's when he released his Bad album will remember just how popular the guy was. The only person I can see reaching anywhere near that same kind of phenomenon is Eminem and when people have long forgotten about jackson eccentricities, they will still remember the great music he produced.

Come on please admit that he is the alltime best singer. His dance, his voice, his creativity.He is unique. I admit that he is doing strange things at the moment but we are talking about the singer michael jackson, not the person michael jackson. He still has the record for most albums sold for the album thriller. And with such life he lived in his youth, would you think you won't change?

Now his pet monkey Bubbles on the other hand has got some serious talent. Rumour has it that Bubbles is actually the brains in the relationship and writes most of Jacko's lyrics. I also heard that ole Mikey's dance move, the Moon Walk, that he made so popular in the 80's was originally called the Monkey March. The name was later changed because it was thought to be giving too much credit to the creator and might blow the King of Plops cover. :lol:

As I understand it they took a word that was deeply offensive to them. Changed it into a word which they use towards each other. Thus they took all the negative power away from the original word.

I am not being PC in objecting to that word. PC has the connotation of being overly sensitive.

MY GOD PEOPLE, HAVE A LITTLE RESPECT.

First of all. EMINEM IS NOTHING!!!!!!! All his songs are the same. "The media hates me, but people think I'm god, listen to me whine" or "Brittney spears is a slut, Bill clinton sucks, Bush sucks, I hate everybody" Granted, his songs are entertaining, but he will have to perform for the rest of his life to stay popular, His songs all have to do with what is going on in the news and the media, if he slacks off, he's gone.

(He does have a few songs that may stick around a while, like: "Blue, Yellow, Purple pills" "Stan (the letter)" and that mushroom song. (I never meant to give you mushrooms girl, I never meant to bring you to my world))

Now for Michael.

1. He is one of the greatest artists of all time. Granted it is in a Genre that many do not like, but the fact is he is still INCREDIBLY talanted.

2. Jackson, does have mental problems, but NOBODY has the right to judge him unless you lived the same life as him. He had no childhood and an abusive dad. Now he's a millionare, what do you think he is going to do? He's going to try to get that back. So If Jackson was a child and he was doing everything he is doing now, (except the surgery), It wouldn't be that wierd. Kids have sleepovers all the time, well, now that Jackson can has a chance to also. He is a kind man, who loves children. If parents allow there children to sleep in the same bed as him, WHO CARES!!!!!! IT IS NOT ANYONE ELSE'S PROBLEM EXCEPT FOR THE PARENT'S!!!!!!!

3. He got burned very badly on his face.....he needed plastic surgery, he broke his nose....he need plastic surgery. I believe that he has had more plastic surgeries than this, but no as many as the 'professionals' say. People look different angles. If you watch his music videos, he doesn't change much after he turns white. There is jump in his last video, and that's it.

4. He has a disease that makes sections of his skin unable to carry pigmantation, it got so bad, that rather than cover the white with black make-up, it was easier to cover the black with white make up. And yes, he probably did end up doing something to make all his skin white so that he wouldn't have to go through all the work to cover it up. And for those of you who don't believe that this disease exists, or think that it is too rare for him to have. I have it, my cousin has it, my friends dad has it, my piano teacher had it. It isn't that rare.

(personally, I like him, I Idoled him as a child, and I have a new found respect for him as an adult)

The question was who likes him. I fully appreciate that you see him as a talented person, I don't. I think his music (which all sounds the same to me) is mass produced, over-hyped, lowest common denominator pap.

However in relation to the original question. I don't like him. I don't like the way he behaves, what a role model for youngsters. I don't like the way he treats his own children, like accessories. Whether you like to accept it or not he did hang a young baby over a balcony, what was that all about. I don't like the multi million dollar out of court settlements. His whole lifestyle is an affront.

I hear what you say about his background. That is true of a huge number of people, who go on to be productive members of society. It is also true of people who become murderers and abusers. That is just an excuse for his behaviour. I think they call it transference. Nothing I do is my fault, because people were cruel to me. Sorry, at some stage you have to accept responsibility for your own action. If anyone can afford therapy he can. Think of the millions of others who go through the same as he did and much worse, who just have to live with the scars, physical and mental.

I couldn't care less about the plastic surgery and skin bleaching. It's his body, he can do what he wants with it.

I am entirely comfortable judging people without having lived their life. Otherwise out juries would have to be full of people from deprived background.

One last thing, you earn respect. Even when you do, it can be lost because of subsequent actions.

The question was who likes him, everyone was putting him down, I defended him. There was no problem there.

He is a bad role model for our youngsters?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Do you hear what you are saying. This is a man who gives millions and millions to charidy, Who only preaches love. Who will not curse. AND HE'S A BAD ROLE MODEL?!?!?!?!??!

Do you know what our youngsters are listening to, and who they have as their role models. Drugs, Cursing, Violence, and Sex. That is what our kids have as role models. And then our adults put down the one guy who is against all of that.

HE DID GROW UP TO BE A PRODUCTIVE MEMBER OF SOCIETY. people just don't understand him, and they are afraid. He did make his own choices. He saw what he lacked, and what the world lacked, and he created it.

He has done nothing wrong, and people are judging him for it. He doesn't treat children as 'accessories'. He gives them what they need, love and happiness. Many other people do this too, and have the same views. They just don't have the money to do in as large of porportions as Jackson can.

The idea of someone who has it all, and gives so much of it away to children seems strange in our society, and people think that he must have other reasons for doing it. He is a good man, with good views, ACCEPT IT!

Did you see the look on his children's faces when they were taken to a zoo, wearing veils, in the middle of a media circus. They should be protected fom this not used as part of it.

Did you see him trying to feed the baby, not a clue.

Did you see his reaction when he was asked how the child's eye was, he didn't even know. It's all a sham and a cover.

I dont like MJ at all...he isnt fit to be a parent,the way he treats his kids is disgusting.He is a sick man and needs help and i would no way let any kids near him.He paid off the family of the kid who said he had messed around with him,an out of court settlement....no smoke without fire.

MJ isn't normal by any standards, but that doesn't make him sick, that makes him different. That is all. MJ reaches kids at their level, teaches them good morals, and becomes their friend. And friends have sleepovers all the time. There is nothing at all sick about that.

I don't understand why people have such a hard time understanding that. If I could just make 1 person realize that MJ isn't what the media portrays him to be, then I will feel like I made a difference, and that I helped a good man out. But if everyone is going to be so stuborn, and refuse to be a little more open minded, then this isn't a world that I want to be living in. A world where murderers and drug users are idolized, while honest, loving people with good morals get mocked, and attacked.

I think Eminem is talanted, I have heard stuff by him that I thought was very very good. I just think that he is stretching this 'the media hates me, I'm so controversial' thing to far. He is a smart man, he needs to start sending messages through his songs, rather then complain through them.

I believe they are talking about the MJ documentery that aired on television a month ago. A reporter told MJ that he was going to give an honest look into MJ's life, but ended up twisting everything that was said. He was a real bastard.

I'm sorry I mentioned Eminem now, I only did so to compare Michael Jackson with, what i think, is an equally talented artist.

I think that we should all agree to disagree as things havegot a bit heated over this subject. The thing about Michael Jackson and Eminem is that away from their music, they are the kind of people you either love or hate. They both produce music that is loved by millions of fans but away from that their personal lives seem to rub some people up the wrong way. They have their bad points but with ppl like Saddam and Osama out there I'm sure you'll agree that they're not that bad in comparison. They wont be around for ever so why dont those who like their music just enjoy and those who dont......YER MAW!!!

i will be specific and too the point , micheal jackson was the most popular singer of all time during the 80's and would have been remembered as the greatest singer of all time had he not turned white/molested children/disfigured himself. heck when i was a kid i was a fan myself ,and while i still like the old tunes i think its as plain as looking at him that we can all tell something isn't right in his head , if he really did have a disease that turns you white fine i could accept that , but the plastic surgery i cannot ,He saw himself as imperfect and so he just kept going and going and going.

I feel that he is an unfit parent , i feel that his children are in jeporady and that other parents who let their children stay with him are also putting their children at risk . i saw parts of the special and what strikes me the MOST is that the birth mother of the two children has NOTHING to do with them .She just popped them out took the money and walked away , how DISGUSTING is that . So what the children are left with is a grown man accused of molesting children for a family .If it comes out later down the road that he molested his children that heartless woman should be held accountable for abondonment .

Okay, I was wrong, I haven't talked about everything. MJ's first 2 kids were legit kids. The mother got no money for that, MJ was married, got laid, got kids. The third child was from a saroget mother. There is nothing wrong with that. It happens everyday.

Will somebody tell me how or why the feel MJ is a threat to kids? I see no reason to believe that. There was one alegation 10 years ago, and in 10 years, nobody else has come forward, so why would you believe that?

And who cares about the plastic surgery. Metal bands disfiguare themselves all the time.

As for the belcony thing. ALL PARENTS MAKE MISTAKES! My girlfriend almost drowned because her dad told her jump into a section of water called 'the toilet bowl'. It sucked her down to the bottom and she couldn't get back to the surface. It happens. Being popular doesn't mean you are perfect. All parents make mistakes.

Instead of attacking him, why can't you just say, "he's one strange guy" and leave it at that? Most of us are adults now, we should act like it. It may have been accepted as a child to pick on people who are different, but not now. Mature a little.

It's not the plastic surgeries that makes him a freak.
The plastic surgeries that he does aren't very normal, but he has the right to do them if he wants to.

You say MJ gives money to charities.
Here's what charities said about him:

"We feel it is totally inappropriate for an adult man to share a bed or bedroom with a child that is not his own"

There was one alegation 10 years ago, and in 10 years, nobody else has come forward, so why would you believe that?

MJ has enough money to buy his own zoo, don't you think he can afford good lawyers and pay people before they can even speak? ;)

People can be strange, but there are different kinds of "strange".

finally, a good rebuttle (SP?)

1. 90% of america believes that it is wrong, but doesn't mean it is. At one time we thought slavery was alright. All because a lot of people believe it, doesn't make it true

2. This is america, celibrities can't do anything with out the press finding out, I don't think any amount of money in the world would change that. More importantly, no loving parent would accept money in exchange for being quiet. Allow something like that to continue with other children would be just as bad as doing it.

3. O.J. went to court, and was found not-guilty. I'm not saying he isn't guilty, I'm saying that it is a different situation.

4. STRANGE, not sick. This is like saying all squares are rectangles (which is true) and all rectangles are squares (which is not true). If you are a pedophile that is strange, but if you are strange that doesn't make you a pedophile.

5. MJ is a man the likes to sleep with children, not MJ is a man that likes to fuck/touch/etc... children. People associate sleep with sex which isn't right, and it doesn't make any sense. Sleeping has nothing to do with sex, how that got started in the first place is beyond me. When children sleep in his bed, they do just that. It is the same as having friends sleepover when you were a child, or crawling into be with your parents in the middle of the night. All kids have done it. Children see MJ as both a friend and a father figuare, so they are going to want that. And MJ is mature enough to not be threatened by it, he sees it how it really is, and knows that there is nothing wrong with it.

6. I, honestly, would not let my kids sleep in the same bed as him. Not because I'm afraid of what he'll do, but because I've never met him. However, I take naps with my friends 6 year old sister. I'll be lying down watching tv, and she'll lay down with me. Her parents don't care, I don't see anything wrong with it. If I were friends with MJ, then things may be different.

7. I'm not saying that I know for a fact that he is innocent and pure, I'm saying that these opinions are based off of 1 accusation (a rumor, as it was called in highschool) from 10 years ago.

Michael Jackson claims to only have had two plastic surgeries.
We all know for a fact that it's not true, but he completely believes and is convinced that it is true!
Even when the facts are exposed in front of him, he completely denies it all and we see that he's serious.

He doesn't fit the pathological liar profile. He lied about plastic surgery, that doesn't mean he is convinced that it is true that he only had 2 surgeries, he may have his own reasons for lying. And yes, he has probably lied about other things to, but he doesn't go around telling people that he dug a whole to china in his backyard, or that he has penguins living in his basement, and when people come over to see them, he claims the zoo took them back. A friend of mine is a pathological liar, these are things that he has told me. Lying about surgery isn't even close to how pathological liars lie.

He does fit the pedophile description except for the part about actual pedophelia. You don't know if he has those feelings about children or not, that is something that you assume. If you took out that part, there would be millions and millions of people who fit that discription. And it would be the box/rectangle thing again.

If you are a pedophile, you fit this description
If you fit this discription (not counting the part about the children, because you don't know that for sure), that doesn't make you a pedophile.

Basically Tabloid readers/followers that have IQ's that if doubled wouldnt total a 100. To criticize a very generous person who has HELPED out a lot of KIDS, by attacking him the same way is just sick to me!!
