im having trouble with guitar pro 4.0.7
it has an uninstaller, but when i use it, it only removes an install log and a tmp folder. and even after the install i can still run the program. i have tried getting rid of it through the control panel, but it just runs the same uninstaller from the guitar pro folder. how can i get rid of it?

Its amazing how many of us seem to have this same problem. Try cleaning your registry

or download a cleaner program http://download.com.com/3000-2094-881470.html?tag=list

or dislk clean up tool http://www.iolo.com/sm/

OK, i cleaned the registry, and regseeker does allow you to see whats installed and uninstall it. so i tried to uninstall guitar pro after i cleaned the registry and the same thing happened. what should i do?

i went to uninstall menu in regcleaner and i clicked guitar pro and uninstall. same thing happened.
then, i clicked remove selected. it removed it from the uninstall list. and i think now it is gone from the software list (it was still on it at one point)
however, guitar pro folder is still on my computer and the program still runs. however it now says im on day 1 of the 30 day trial as if it reinstalled.
what do i do?

Well, I suggest you'd try Norton Cleansweep. I use it always to uninstall programs and in my humble opinion it works great. It analyses the whole program and deletes just about everything that is part of the program. The parts that it doesn't or can't delete are most of the time safe to be removed manually. Try it you it might work for you.
