Dvd Burning

I have just got a new computer with a dvd burner and it is using the latest edition of Nero. When I ask it to copy a disc (dvd) it all loads up but when I put in the dvd I want to copy it says its protected and it can not copy. Is there any software I can download for free that ignores the protection.

I'v heard copycd is good but can't find it anywhere.
