hi
did a search on google about basic and it came up with all theses differnt programs.As a novice i dont no which one would be the easist to learn do u guys know?

qbasic was great i had hours of fun with that language

10 print"hello world"
20 goto 10

the joy of trying to see if i could fill my sinclairs 64k of mem with that program.

i have used visual basic but it bit off price range,Any free alterntives?

Oh god I loved Basic because of this goto line thing. Mostly no cycles, just goto's everywhere :D

what's the chances of you selling programs written in basic?

dunno but there could be a chance i could become sucessful(unlilky)
Genereally i want to program and start making software would visual basic be ideal or not?

I think it would be a great start for you. Play around with it, make a couple of simple user-friendly ms apps then once you get the general grasp of programming you can move on to bigger and better things..............or languages :P
