ok, i'm doing my cbt in a fortnight.

i cant decide which bike i want (getting one in march :D )

my choices

varadero 125 - looks a bit big for a 125 but apparently not underpowered - 3000quid (darn school pcs)

XRL 125 - looks fun and ive heard its pretty good offroad - 2000quid

I thought you said Motorbikes - not mopeds

Just kidding, nice one - good luck and be carefull - my personal favourite is the Intruder 1400 - nice cruising model - something to look forward to maybe??

Be extremely wary of others, they dont see you and you have to think for them - motorbikes dont exist for the ordinary motorist so treat them as assholes and you might survive - i mean that ;)

Peace

Don't worry about the CBT, it's not really any different from a Cycling proficience test, 99.9% people pass it :)

As for the bike, XLR125 :)
I had an XL250 (which is a chunky bike) and they are good off road.
But take note of what ukman said, Lights on 100% of the time.
To car drivers you are invisible.

And don't be a muppet and drive like a twat cos you give us bikers a bad name <_<

Just enjoy the freedom :)

And you can't ride bigger than a 250 for 2 years after getting a liscence in the uk unless you're over 25

ive done loads of research, theres different types of license. i could do my cbt and get a1 on my license which means i can get a 125. or i could do the proper test and get anything upto 33bhp. that could mean in a month or two i'd be riding a 650cc bike (restricted a bit <_< ). the insurance would kill me though

heres another picture of that varadero. i really like and want this bike but i wanna know how it performs before thinking about paying for it.

 or i could be good for 2 years and get the 1000cc version :w00t:

So you're gonna try and blow the engine of a brand new 125 up are you

If you gonna be fiddling with reeds and discs etc I suggest you bye and old RD125 , file the disc down and open the jets, and THERE'S a demonic 125

But it will still not be really fast or anything, why don't you just be happy with what you gonna get and ride it sensibly :)

What a lot of these kids on 125's don't realise is when you open it up and make loads of noise acelerating as fast as you can thru the town, any real biker rolls his eyes and says to the nearest person........"He's got a wasp stuck in that can", then everyone laughs

Get one a real bike and do it, (like Mine) and everyone loves it B)
Cos I pull away in 5th to make her thump :D

 Just a kid at heart

<_< Why do we have pages all stretched out of proportion by huge pics, i.e. previous page but my within page size pic gets automatically resized?
