I can't put any games on my main computer since my office owns it, so....

Anybody know of any RPG games, probably from 1998 to 2001, that would work on a spare computer that is only a PII-400 w/256MB and a 16MB 3D video card?

I just installed Windows 98 with Kazaa, but all of the games that I already have won't work on a machine without a really good video card or a faster machine.

Thanks

I don't know of any good, low-cpu RPG pc games, but you can certianly run ROMS (with an emulator).

Zsnes - Emulator (http://www.zsnes.com)

EdgeEmulation - ROMS (http://www.edgeemu.com/)

(To download the ROMS, look to the right margin and Register, then after you've registered, under Navigation, click ROMS)

The best RPGs I've ever played for SNES are:
Chrono Trigger
Earthbound
Breath of Fire series
The Legend of Zelda - A Link to the Past

Tried all of those, even went out on a limb and tried out all of the RPGMAKER stuff out there too. I'm looking for something that will be a little more advanced.

Ideally I would like to get a good hash for Warcraft III, or similar games.

WarCraft III (http://filesharingtalk.com/index.php?showtopic=5055&hl=WarCraft+3)

WarCraft III - Frozen Throne (http://filesharingtalk.com/index.php?showtopic=48526&hl=WarCraft+3)

Yes, something exactly like that....only not that because most of the verifieds that are more than 30 days old are gone. Both of those links are over six months old.

While I'm on that topic, why are old hashes never there? You would figure that these files would only become more numerous.

I reckon this should be in Requests.

Check Verified Downloads (http://www.verifieddownloads.com), or I'm sure you can find something on SuprNova (http://home.tiscali.nl/maple/list_torrents/games.html).

Sorry, I had more than one window open and I posted in the wrong area.

It's OK. If you post in the wrong area, just wait for a moderator to move it, instead of posting again. I've removed your second post, and moved this one.

Thanks for the tip, I already got FF7, but the music is craptastic! I didn't know they were doing 8 and 9 for the PC, I'll check for that now. Does it have the same clunky keyboard arrangement?

Something I don't get...RPG's have been kinda big for computers since the beginning. I remember the first RPG I ever played was Tunnels of Doom for the TI99a. Why are there so few floating around the net?

I mean, the one's I do see: Baldur's Gate II, Neverwinter Nights, Morrowind, Pirates of the Car...none of them work on older computers like ours. It makes me feel that maybe nobody has taken the time to put descriptions into Kazaa or whatever and that I just don't know what it's called.

You know, like maybe somebody has these old RPG's in zips and I just need to know the zipfile name.

If you are lokking for an older RPG try Septerra Core. It's similar to chrono trigger and is great fun :)
