Any site registered with a .tk domain will not work on my computer! I thought maybe just the .tk was down, but I checked at school and it worked perfectly, came home, and nothing!!
what's the matter here??

Got no idea. Sorry. :(

You should try contacting DotTK support. Normally it takes 3 or so days to register the domain, but in the meantime DotTK puts up a "registered" page.

@haxor, thats not it because the same site works at school, at the exact same point in time when it is not working at my house!
@shared, lol i'm not making a site, and it''s nothing to do with my site, its just .tk sites in general won't load at my house

Does anyone have the code to disable/remove .tk popup ad. that usually appear when you open your site? There was a time I saw such code here in kazaa forum but I can't remember who posted it and how to find it. Does anyone have a clue?? Thanx in advance.

@kaiweiler:
Weird... maybe your HOSTS file blocks *.tk domains.

@Agamalizard:
No, that would be impossible, since the script is on DotTK's server, not yours.

can i change my hosts file then? what is a hosts file?

HOSTS is a fine in your Windows directory (Win 9x, ME) or [i forgot, think it's windows\system32\drivers\etc)] (Win NT, 2000, XP) or /etc (Linux).

If you see a line that says 127.0.0.1 *.tk or localhost *.tk, remove it.

This would be pretty unlikely though. :)

No...

Maybe you should check your firewall's blocked IPs?
