Blank Popups

help me, whenever i clikc on something that pops up it just stays a blank page, i dont no why.

i have ie6, and my popup bloker is off. i have dls 2 so its not speed. it just dosnt load. i use ctrl=alt=delete and it just says internet explorer

am i missing something??

It might be just that site, or try upgrading your java

even if your ad blocker is disabled, it might have a feature that blocks access to ad servers. you probably have a list of servers which are known to generate ads. and whenever ie tries to download a picture from there, it comes back blank. there should be an option to disable this feature if you WANT to get bombarded with windows left right and center

grr, i dled the newest version of java script, and its not my popup blocker.

it only started doing this a couple days ago.

and it isnt just one site?

you are talking about things you want to pop up right? like screenshots and stuff?

no no no no no... this is every single popup. from any site, even the ones i wana popup. like clikcing on this >test (http://www.google.com) and it would b blank.

nvm it isnt, i deleated my popup blocker, and im still having the problem.

do you have IE set for a local proxy server like AdSubtract or proxomitron?

do you the domain you cant view in your HOSTS file? if so rename your HOSTS file, remove that entry or #comment it out.

you could try mozilla or firebird to see if it's an IE problem

EDIT: Are you running peerguardian? look at the log entries and see if a new one comes up everytime you view that popup, if so turn it off or edit guarding.PGP
(the PG list blocks a few sites on pogo.com i know, and i had to edit my list)

dunn worrie, i have made my transition to mozilla, which i feel brats the crasp outta ie anyway,. thx for all the help guys.

but one more question. how do i make msn messenger, open my emails with mozilla? it still uses ie 2 do that...

try setting mozilla to default browser but i set firebird to default and msn still uses ie

microsoft is dumb :frusty:
