How does the forum work out the numebr of posts you make. I've made a replys to a number of topics over the last couple of days yet it says I have only made 3 posts. Does this number only include the number of topics which you have created?

Help, I'm very confused

:blink:

Posts in the off topic areas don't count toward your post total, neither do posts in the main discussion forums, although the subforums in there do.

So if you're like me and have posted a lot but mostly in the lounge, it doesn't count. ;)

So whats the difference, if any, from being a newbie to being a full member? Any extra priviledges or is it just for kudos?

no difference, really, just the title.

I really think that posts in the worlds should count.
We give a lot of help to people there.
You also don't see spam there.

I want to be a Post Whore! :'(

Yeah people do help, but it kinda encourages spamming there.

They work in the verfieds, not in the worlds general discussions.

wow, these guys are getting tough....i reckon they've ran out of titles, and are just scared that soon there'll be a forum with like 7000 Post Whores, and no n00bs :P

no, on a serious note though...if i go on someone's verified, and reply "great list", i get a post, but if i go to someone's "help i can't encode LOTR" and post a constructive post, detailing what to do....nil points? :huh:

Errrmm, just a question.
When a topic gets closed, do we lose the posts in that topic?
I was just checking my n° of posts today, and it dropped one after VB close one of my topics.
Can this be, or am I experiencing Monday morning hallucinations?

No (sorry have nothing more to add)

Is post count really that important?

This is the only right question.....

@Ron;

or am I experiencing Monday morning hallucinations?

yes you do.... :sleeping:
Almost unfortunatelly it doesn't change the postcount. :ninja:

@Skweeky
No postcount won't change either... Also "sometimes" unfortunately ;)

So if I were to create a topic, then post 2000 replies to it (not that I will or anything), then you delete it, I will still have an extra 2000 posts?
