Divx Codec To Vcd

Hi
Im pretty new so if this has been addressed...sorry I have some movies that I downloaded as avi but play em on Divx Player. I would like to Convert them to VCD so I can view them on my DVD player. I have tried a couple times but failed. Anyone know of an easy converter to do this??
