lol, I mispell a lot online ... mostly because I type fast and dont really take make time, and even if I notice an error, usually leave it in. As long as a word can be guessed right ... Im happy :P

What actually makes people spell more accurately than others? Is it habitually reading? I barely read anyhting when I was in grade school and I have almost perfect spelling (my mother tells me i could read when i was two, though) . Maybe its a left-brain right-brain thing? I'm left handed, so...

When referring to one's self it is more traditional to capitalize the I.

Also "anything" is more universally accepted than your variant, interesting as it may be.

It is not enough to have all of the proper letters, one must also place them in the correct order.

Mozilla Firebird needs a built in spell checker. They have one but development sucks and it crashes a lot. There are plenty for ie users http://www.iespell.com/. ;)

I need help with my ,&#39;s(where the hell do I put them?) and the witch&#39;s.(witch? wich? what?) Also when you write in () do you start with a capital and end with or dot?. How about the word after () do you start with a capital? :blink: :helpsmile:

SG, when you&#39;re speaking about something that belongs to someone singular, (the possessive) you use an apostrophe before the "s". When you&#39;re speaking in the plural about something that belongs to a group of people you would use the apostrophe after the "s".

When you use parentheses, you would use them to contain a separate statement within the statement you are making. You don&#39;t need a comma before you open your brackets or a capital letter for that matter (though it does help if try to keep the content of your brackets concise without meandering into extraneous punctuation).

It&#39;s called a comma. Use it to indicate natural pauses in a sentence. Think of how you would speak to someone and how your voice automatically rests as each point is made.

If you can understand what has been typed, then that is all that matters. I bet some of them did not complain at school or college when their lectures&#092;teachers made a spelling mistake. :)

I&#39;ve seen it mis-spelt about 5000 times, its like people want to mis-spell it.
