How Do I

just downloaded windows XP pro it is one file EXE it extracts itself. how do I burn it to a CD using nero so it loads up from the CD??

You need to first rename the file from exe to .iso, in order to burn it to disc.

okay ive reenamed it but nero says its a foreign image what do i do now?

Uh...adthomp, in this very forum you will probably see my Nero burner wont open thread! I am sorry, but I haven't been able to use my WinXPProCorp iso yet either! ha ha

Download WINiso 5.5 from kazaa and burn an iso onto your hdd, make sure you make it bootable for those who want it bootable.

You said it's already extracted, so burn the extracted files to a CD. That's all there is to it.

Thanks Haggster alot man!!! i was able to get ISOwin make my own ISO up and make the setup file bootable!! just what i was looking for :D :D :D

i don't understand what this means. what do u mean to do after d/l WINiso 5.5? i'm in the same situation adthomp was in. thxnadv.

if i not mistaken to make a winxp cd true bootable so it will bootup of cd from startup :) need to add a boot selector file called xpboot.img
