i have set ZoneAlarm to allow it to "act as a server"-giving it full permission to acces the net........

does anyone know whats wrong?????

(btw, im not behind a router, and im using XP Pro)

thats the only thing i could think of for it now uploading.

check your directories to make sure all folders are right,

check without the firewall.

try a diff port, then restart to enable it.

what are your other settings?

turning the firewall off doesnt help

settings:

connection:
128KB/s down (limit: 100)
40KB/s up (limit: 32)

(i have an 1024/320 kbps ADSL connection)

Clientport
TCP: 4000 UDP: 4002

max sources per file hard limit: 300

connection limit: 5

Proxy: NONE (im not using any)

choseing a diffrent port didnt help either.........

max connections is 5?????

mines set to 1000-500 and im on 600Kb connection (with 128Kb upload).
Try 500.

If all fails, i suggest a clean install again.
Keep clients.met
known.met
userhash.dat
preferences.dat
and cryptkey.dat
and the friends file if u have any added.
and replace the installed files with these ones to retain credits.

Try port 80 for tcp and the 4672 port for UDP.

TCP port 80 wont work 4 me (cannot create socket or something like that), and it gives me a low ID (which i heard was bad)

TCP 4000 seems to connect, and i have a High ID

right now im uploading like crazy.........

only downloading isnt working (even though i really do have enough sources)

thanx for the help btw................. ;)

Heres some stuff you can do to help improve speeds...what did you do to fix your ul problem?

Storm

Have you disabled (or given Emule permission in) the software firewall built into Windows XP/XP Pro?

This may explain the slow download speeds you're getting -- you can ONLY download from people who are not firewalled -- which are predominately 56k users...
