can't access any web page without getting this error box popping up,

INTERNET EXPLORER SCRIPT ERROR!

AN ERROR HAS OCCURED IN THE SCRIPT ON THIS PAGE

error:object expected

code:0

DO YOU WANT TO CONTINUE RUNNING SCRIPTS ON THIS PAGE?


YES NO

I also can't get the dat files to download from up2dat or verified downloads, when i click on a file i get,


"sig2dat:///file:(whateverfile). the filename, the directory or volume label is incorrect!"


it all started after installing the latest v2.6, tried uninstalling and reinstalling still same problem.


can anyone help?

Try could this mate.Goto tools at the top of your window ,then internet properties ,adanced ,& make sure theres a tick by "disable script debugging" also "display notification".

You could also empty your temp internet files. :)

o.i ..you 'll have to open an ie window thou,.or goto start menu., or hold shift down before you press a link :P

Thanks for the reply, no luck though, the script box was already checked, i deleted my temp files but its still the same.

I've gone back to v2.4 but it's still the same, this is so annoying.

i cant help but think if theres a virus in the v2.6 file? :(
