Screen Resolution Problems

hey wen i try to set my screen resolution settings to be higher than 1024 X 768 it goes black and goes back to 1024 X 768 , now i hav updated my drivers to the lastest soo wats going on?

Sounds like your monitor doesnt support that resolution thats why it resets it back to the previous res.
