You should go with this kind of memory http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/in...oduct_uid=36557 (http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=36557)

And you need a good heat sink and fan for this Socket A processor. If you look at the one they suggest for this processor, note how big the heat sink is. I had an experience lately while putting a system together like this, that the heat sink got in the way of the power supply. In other words, It would not fit in a mid sized case. To be on the safe side, I would go with a full sized ATX case to avoid running into this problem.

I would rather buy this mainboard:

http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/in...oduct_uid=40522 (http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X3NwZWNpZmljYXRpb25z&product_uid=40522)

Its a bit more expensive but I think its more stable and have better features.

Your RAM wont be compatible look for this one instead:
http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/in...oduct_uid=46052 (http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=46052)

Your HD will be ok altough i personally prefer Seagate.

If your willing to pay a bit more look at this one:
http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/in...oduct_uid=36369 (http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X3NwZWNpZmljYXRpb25z&product_uid=36369)

it cost 14 £ more and has double as much space

Dont you want to buy a video card?

I hope I could make everything clear. :)

Never liked the Epox boards, since they've been around I've always had a Gigabyte board. Does the same, cheaper and you get more for your money.

This is what I'm currently running on (http://www.giga-byte.com/products/7vaxpultra.htm)

The other thing you want to do is find a computer fair in your area. If you go to a fair you'll save more money and you'll be able to ask the venders for advice. Usually you can get 'show specials' which are mother-boards and processors sold together which are even cheaper and are definatly compatible.

the mb is fast and good for overclocking downthe road.the pc 100 ram is old p2 and will not work with that cpu or mb,ddr 2100 or ddr 2700 will work ddr 2700 will not go out of date as quick as the ddr2100.the mb & hd both suport 333 front side bus so down the line you will be ready for amd 2800+ :)

I see no difference between except "designer" ram and conventional ram, other than a HUGE difference in price.

The ram you were looking at will definitely not work, you need to buy ddr ram.

I use Gigabyte motherboards. I am surprised how well they work with pentium4.

I used to stick with intel motherboards, but they are a bit too expensive.

My integrrated sound is execellent too! And everything on the motherboard comes with WindowsXP drivers. Supports 3gigs of DDR memory. Also has 533mhz. Very fast and no problems!
