I have read some fantastic review on this $158 CDRW. Need some input especially from user of this drive before i take the plunge.

I bought mine a few months back for $207.00. That's a good price if true. The only thing I did not like was it came with Roxio instead of Nero. You can read another review here: Click Here (http://www.cdrlabs.com/reviews/index.php?reviewid=185)

ouch!!! a bit expensive. you can get a CDRW for £25 in the UK

it is not safe to write on CDs any faster than 48x

why? i screwed one of my friends comps doing this (shit...)

if a CD has even a slight deformity in it, it could shatter during the writing process, wasting one CD and a costly burner

That&#39;s what I was thinking, I got a Lite-On 52X burner for &#036;30 bucks a few months back, no way I&#39;d spend that kinda money on a burner.
