I myself will personally leave a remark to this thread. The game cube was made for LITTLE CHILDREN!!!! Get it through your head! The only thing good about getting the gamecube is that you can buy the revamped version of resident evil! Thats the ONLY good game for the GC, all others were made for little girls (count with your fingers how many games on gamecube have a mature rating......).

1 you have not played a single GC game . Ever. You try to look "cool" and " savvy" by saying it's for kids - you just make yourself look like an ass.

2 in your juvenile wankfest , you seem to think anything that hasn't got an "M" rating is meant for kids. Considering this claim , I wonder if you have 1) already reached the age to buy these games , and 2) have any way to back up your ridiculous claim that an "M" rating makes a game good per sé.

3 you have not the slightest clue about videogames. You buy them based on their popularity without playing them first and making your own judgement . Does this mean I think less of you ? Of course not , we all have to learn. You , however , belong to the "sheep crowd" - rather than improve yourself you latch on to a popular , "rad" notion and spread it like a disease. That I dispise.

4 What can you do to convince me?

- Show me sales results that link GC sales to a female demographic. Prove that GC games are not suited for males.
- Show me sales results that link GC sales to a younger demographic. Prove that GC games are not suited for adults.

He's got as much "point" as a softball.

Saying the Cube is less aggressive in appearance is one thing. Saying that because of it's SIZE (my 'Cube is black , so colour doesn't count) a console is only suited for a certain audience is like saying women shouldn't drive Hummers : utter bull.

Secondly , if you buy a console because it's "big" and "manly" , I say you're compensating for another field :lol:

Thirdly , I know girls with Xboxes and men with GC's. You only see the console when you buy it , then it dissapears under the TV.

You choose a console for it's quality , it's games and it's price. If you pull outside appearance into the equation , you're on the wrong path.

I had it for two months before getting bored of it, I had Super Mario Sunshine, Die Hard Vendetta and a Star Wars game (can&#39;t remember the title :rolleyes: ) It was very good for the first month, very fun to play. The graphics were very smooth and the gamplay was enjoyable, but not very tight <_< It was a bit too kiddie friendly, but maybe that was down to the games I owned? Overall it was a nice console, but you can&#39;t beat the PC for games :P ...bought an xbox after the GC, which I liked better :)

The fact that i said "count with your fingers the amount of M rated games" merely meant the gamecube wasnt made for "mature" people, but children. And also for that matter "little girls" would mean boys that act like girls when they play anything with a teen rating or above. DUH&#33; And to finish this, i HAVE played the majority of the gamecube games out in the U.S., and quite frankly, i thought they were quite a homosexual attempt to by nintendo to get people to buy "childrens" games, that quite suprisingly, worked. So in a way, i thank nintendo for attempting to fix our already messed up society, but when i see how they make link look like a girl on wind waker, and for some reason seem to use a model of him with his balls outlined on his pants in soul calibur, i still see how lame there approach was. And so what if i have an xbox, if you want a start an argument about that, i&#39;ll just say i get boobs on DOA extreme beach volleyball, and you get nuts. let&#39;s see ya cram that down your throat.

Namco made SC2 and the desgin for Link.Nintendo gave them a basic figure to follow.

most ppl dont like gamecube bcuz...

a) the controllers r a lil odd at first (u have 2 admit PS2 controllers r pretty good)

b ) they dont have as many big titles, zelda, ssbros, & resident evil(which is also on ps)

c) and the big one, becuz of the type of graphics card the gamecube uses, most games are displayed w/ pixel shading which makes games look more like a cartoon, most ppl dont like that cuz it looks childish&#33;&#33;&#33;

a ) I think PS2/Xbox controllers feel odd. Then I use them for 10 minutes and they feel just fine. It&#39;s just a matter of what you&#39;re used to.

b ) Agreed. What&#39;s there is great , but more "big" games never hurt. And please , can we get simultaneous multi-format releases ?

c ) Wtf :huh: ? I know Nintendo is quite fond of anti-aliasing to get rid of "jaggies" - leading to the N64&#39;s infamous "vaseline screen" - but I never thought it gave a "childish look". I agree PS2 games have a sharper , "harsher" look but I&#39;m not sure that&#39;s a good thing. And AFAIK know developers can choose which functions (shading , reflections , ...) they use , so the pixel shading seems deliberate. Correct me if I&#39;m wrong.

Actually, i like the GC. The controller was a little odd at first, but after an hour our so, you kinda realise that its actually a much better design than the xbox of ps2. You can actually hit all the buttons you need to without having to surgically re-arrange your hand. (Triangle-circle-r2 combo&#39;s on the ps2 drive me absolutely nuts&#33;).

I think the thing about the gc&#39;s graphics is that it doesnt have as much texture ram as the xbox, so they tend to go simple to avoid slow-down. That in turn means that the graphics actually tend to look &#39;cleaner&#39; than xbox graphics, which is ace by me. Means there&#39;s less in the way so i can actually play the game instead of having to try to squint through twenty layers of bump mapping and particle effects. :P

Mind you, my fav. games on the GC atm are BR : Primal Fury, Metroid, and Loz:ww, so i probably dont count. :P

The GC controller is good, mainly because you won&#39;t get carpotunnel (or whatever) from useing it like an Xbox controller. And who cares if some of the games and graphics are pixels? Does it really matter? :huh: If it&#39;s a good game, who the hell cares if the graphics are pixels.

theres one thing the ps pad has over the others is that on fighting games its more comfy to do that thing where you put your right palm where your fingers normally go and press buttons with your pointy and f* you fingers. :blink: :D
