I cant seem to start a new game :(

the game loads fine but when i try to start a new game it does nothing.

I have all the latest drivers ,directx 9.0b and my radeon 9600 should be ok to play it on.
anyone had the same problem, i dont know what i should try?

its the deviance rip off suprnova so i dont think its a bad copy normally they are good quality.
