Edit Start Up Search Page

Hey,

Anyone know how to edit the startup search page. You know the first time you click the search button. The page to the right. Just want to change the url if possible.

I'm using clean kmd 2.4.4. U know u install that last orginal kazaa lite 2.4.3 then clean kmd 2.4.4.

I want to change the search window that appears on the left side of the screen. At the moment it points to a web page that does not exist any more.

Just a The page cannot be displayed page.

Hi war 59312,

I would assume that it is ok for you to post this idea or feature in the General Development area of this message board. It's not a bad idea to make something that is blank into something that is useful.

The start page is in the Kazaa folder on your HD in a subfolder called /web ;)

That is surely for K++ 2.4.3 ;)

Yea thats what I mean. Yea I know i cant figure it out. Sure its in the exe. But not sure how to edit it. As resource hacker cant as the exe seems to be compressed.

i got it for you, found it a while ago. i think this will be the same for you, but i am using kl l++ 2.4.3

u want the kpp.dll m8 not the exe

open it in res hacker go

string table > 8 > 1033

then you want line 125

change the bit in "" to wat u want eg "http://filesharingtalk.com/"
or for a local file remember to include file:// at the start (i think)

also some extra info the search string (for the google/whatabig search) is in the line below - line 126

The problem was that the page could not be found so I just changed it back to the normal thing:
