Have you already ran the "sm_install.php" file?

Have you uploaded it or installed it? And what is the URL to your board?

Ask your host if you can install PHP files..

I've getting a 404 on your site and the forums but not sm_intall.php, this is quite strange.

To run Invision Power Board you need PHP 4.06(+) and MySQL 3.22(+)

;)

Damn, I know nothing about Windows 2000 Terminal. Sorry. :(

Perhaps you should try php.net or mysql.com, although their help is geared more towards Apache and *nix.

Invision has the option to run on msSQL now too. I've never gotten IPB to work on windows but they say it's possible.

If you can't get it to work, take a look at webwiz forums. They run really good on ASP in windows 2000.

I think it is easier to set up in Windows becuase you won't have to deal with file permissions, etc.

And you can easliy install it on a Windows Machine, just install Apache, PHP, and WinMySQLAdmin and your set... :01:

  You gotta be kidding me

Windows permissions are a f**kin nightmare lately with all the IIS patches and crap. At least on the server I'm on. Everything's a trade off to get something else to work.
