How do I play and encode DivX?

and if you want to rip a dvd and encode it as divx, I found DVDX about the easiest to use, Yes I know there are better programs but dvdx is a nice easy starter program and there's loads of copies on kazaa

Just remeber to install the codec pack first :D

Dont use this mate no offence ,its crap.Gordian knots is the best but is you want an easy program,try http://www.vidomi.com/ or flaskmpeg for good results :)

To add another recommendation, you could try dr divx, its probably the easiest.
