My local has just put up their prices (again) and it is now £2.40 for a pint of lousy Carlsberg or £2.60 for a pint of Stella...there are other, cheaper pubs but I love this one so much...

So go on, depress me. Tell me how cheap the beer is in your local...

 I don't know actually....someone else always pays for me :">

I know whisky is 56 kronor (=5,6euro) in clubs here in Karlstad
In Belgium it was 1,35 euro for any lager, 2 for the big ones (25 cl is standard in Belgium)
I honestly don't have a clue what it is in Scotland

Dear Skweeky,

well as you know you're sitting 5m away from me, but as we where very much closer in the club, let me tell you how much your rated my wallet.
After searching high and low for a pub that would finally let you in and after being nearly arrested 5 times for child abduction we eventually found a place of spiritual rest that charged us 10 euros each to parttake of their alcoholic beverages and charging me 2 euros to hang my coat up.
I can tell you that a half a litre of beer for you cost 5 euro and I bought a disgusting vodka and coke for the same price. One hours entertainment cost us exactly 30 euros

Peace

Ukkie

Me and Mrs Moo (she's Ukrainian you know) brew our own from cabbage and bicarbonate of soda.

cost = very little. :blink:

I also have a friend *nudge nudge* who supplies me with my own favourite brand of alcohol. Say no more, but I hope it isn't made with cabbage and bicarbonate although that could explain the unusual smells that are floating around my apartment these days as Skweeky has taken to mixing this same alcoholic beverage with tomatoes although she calls it Bloody Mary's. So I don't think cabage and tomatoe is a good mix.

Peace

Ukkie

NOTE: This is Skweeky, I have nothing to do with those smells <_<

Hehehehee a luv bein a student, its cheap as hell.
(in glasgow)

£2.40 for carlsberg, thats the stuff they put on at £1 a pint any chance they get here.
Vodka's and stuff usually like £1.

Might just be because i got to studenty places most o the time.

Clubs and stuff are a bit dearer, most is about £4 odds for double vodka's.
Pints a couple quid

me and Mrs Moo (she's still Ukrainian you know) would call that a cocktail - but only if it had a slice or potato on the side.

Fugley Fact: The World "fart", in Ukrainian translates as "economical air freshner".

The word 'fart' in Swedish translated means 'speed'. Does this mean if the two cultures were to co-exist farting would be a very speedy air freshener?

we just put our prices up at work yesterday... or actually the government put the tax up on alcohol for us...

pot (285mls or 10 ounces) $2.30 for a full strength beer
$2.20 for a midstrength beer
schooner (375 mls or 15 ounces) $3.30 for full strength
$3.20 for midstrength
pints are around the $4.20 for full strength...

now if I really cared I'd give you the exchange rate for Australian dollars...

oh and a standard spirit and mix is $4.10

eat part of it and sue them for internal bleeding after you are admitted to hospital.

Then of course you´ll probably have to plead medical insanity to hang yourself out to dry, but well at least you will get a nice keyboard and mouse.
