Can you burn them to a CD with Media Player or Winamp? If so, then you could turn around and rip them from the CD as mp3's.

Yeah, but the quality would be so horrendous that you would rip your ears off.

Why? There shouldn't be any quality loss.

delete them, add .wma to your search filter and download the mp3 versions

Are you kidding?

For one .wma is the shittiest quality file ever created and no one in their right mind would download them.

For two when you burn a cd and rip the file again the song does lose quality.

I've had the issue with "Gollum`s Song" - it redirect to a site saying
the license is no longer valid - this lead me to the conclusion that the site
may offer wma-files, valid for a certain time?

I would download them from new and record with "Magicsofts Soundcapture 1.0"
the Mixed Output - what I listening currently - of my Soundcard as MP3 in 128Bit
Quality.

Or: I would download the MP3 file.
