It's only a matter of time before the RIAA shut down Fast Track. Would the RIAA go after eDonkey next?

And how exactly do you shut down a peer to peer network? Arrest everyone who uses it?

At least one judge has ruled that P2P systems have a legitimate use and has overturned an appeal by the RIAA to shut down P2P networks. I don't think we need to worry too much about that aspect of things. You'd be better off focusing on getting the DCMA repealed - nobody needs tyranny like that!

I wouldn't think ppl would be so quick to flame Dead Cartoon Fish if they had been following the events in Australia this week. As far as FT and Sharman are concerned, I say good riddance. My only misgivings are the effect this will have on other networks and how the demise of Sharman will free up RIAA resourses to start harassing us elsewhere.

Sharman/Kazaa might very well be dying, but he said they're going to shut down Fasttrack. The way I understand P2P, I just don't think that's possible. Even if they never release a new version of the software, there are already millions of people who have it. How are you going to get them all to stop using it?

RIAA would have to go round everyone's house who has a computer, one by one, and uninstall it. As there are dozens of millions of people in the world who use it, it will take quite a long time!!!

If they did that, I would just reinstall it. I have backups of all of my programs and vids. heh! They can suck my nub!!!!!!! Long Live P2p~

 First of all I enjoy kazaa and I really hope it doesn't get shut down, BUT you have to understand where the money is coming from too lobby so hard for the P2P networks ultamate Doom P2P is FREE sharing Big Brother from all countrys dont like the term FREE They like having that money coming in to there respected partys so they can take there outings with there rich friends so called Musician thats say dont copy me like the elliots,MnMs and metallica did the same as us poor folks it might have been 8 Tracks or regular cassets but you get the piont I hope once that money started rolling in attidudes change Its just life you hit the lottery your not going to live in the same house or drive the same car you just change.

But its Funny how If you give your neighbor a cup of sugar or would I like to say share a cup of sugar with them the sugar industry doesnt come hunting you down for sugar sharing Violations or loan you lawn mower out (share) craftsman and other lawn mower companys dont sue you> If you look back at the internet early days WFW world free web as it was develope to you surf freely at the confort of your home well those days like most are gone people today dont fight for what the beleave in they coward behind thier TV and listen to news that not really news Janets Tittie isnt new most of women have them some more then others yes these seems like bunch a venting cry baby and for the most part it is to any of the SR. founders or P2P Gods you cant stop what big brother wants big brother gets like it or not we cant be hypocrites you cant sit a cry over spam then in the same breath say save P2P (which im not a spammer). Then when you say thier Gotta to be a middle the question to you is what the middle Honestly minus your loyaltys Whats the middle ground!!!!!!!!![COLOR=red]

K-Lite is defined by each User ;)

It is not centralized - the RIAA only can go after Sharman, but these is useless
as K-Lite Users use mainly K++ ;) So, don't worry, RIAA would not sue 4 million
ppl ;) And if they would sue me, I would continue to share and tell them my
opinion openly. I would not give my music to them.
