A good friend upgraded his xbox harddrive to a wd 120gb for a media center
I took his old 8gb western harddrive from his xbox to use but can't install as slave because of password prompt.Any INFO I find is more to do with linux not windows. Ant idea
how i can get password ? It lets me format, set partion but locks up on boot ask's for password. It looks like any other harddrive thats why i thought i could use it. You know jumper settings and power connection.

Create a boot disk(from other computer) or if you have one
Boot from floopy. WIN98 bootdisk.
type unlock c:\

if this doesnt work.
DO a low level format

CHECK THIS (http://www.xbox-news.co.uk/extracting_pass.htm)
