Why Is It So Dark?

well, every game i play is very dark. some games are pretty much unplayable. and in Call Of Duty i get owned because i cant even see the guy. my monitors a little over a year old. could it be my video card? its a 5200. can someone give me any advice?

Look in advanced settings of your display properties.
Click on GeForce 5200 and select Color Correction.

You need to adjust your Gamma setting. You should be able to do this in individual games, but if it is wrong in all your games this is the place to start.

do what livy said and also make sure the brightness and contrast are up on your monitors settings; although im sure youve thought of this.

try tilting your monitor downwards slightly or make the screen bright/ alter contrast etc on monitor setting on the screen :)

thanks, i just got a new 9600 XT and i go ahead and install the drivers and mess with the contrast and colors, but i got the brightness all the way up at a hundred.
