Why would you not want to use virtualdub BC-UK? Its the best software out there for dealing with DivX/XviD.

Virtualdub's great but I assume that BC-UK is having problems with it.
The most common is with files that have a VBR mp3 soundtrack (varible bitrate)
In which case you can use virtualdub mp3 as quiksilver suggested or nandub does that same thing. Theres quite a few mods out there, thats the beauty of open source software :)

open it in winamp and use either a wav, lame, or mp3 output plugin to rip the audio
(only the wav output one, out_disk.dll, comes with winamp, the other two are on the website though)
