Hi

I have been trying, at loooooong last to backup some of my data on to dvd discs, unfortunately after burning on some occasions (I am using Nero btw) the data varification has failed and the discs are pretty useless, I realise this happens now and again but it has happened to me about 25% of the time, which I believe uis a fairly high percentage. Has anyone got any hints or tips to get the best results and save toasting my discs please.

Thanks in advance

Zero :)

p.s. Coasters anyone, going cheap

Try some other brand of media.

again, try different media - go to a shop and buy singly until you find a disk which works.

also, i find trying to burn >4400MB doesnt work, so i try not to fill the disk, leave a little gap at the end, and it does the trick

@scimanal - not particularly, kinda middle of the road, read a lot of feedback and it appears to be very very reliable.....so much for feedback

@vivitron - that could be a reasson, I do tend to fit as much as I can on to a disc

Thanks to both of you for your suggestions and help :)
