Ok, I need a new graphics card, my old (Intel 82810E) card just doesn't cut it any more. I need a graphics card that can get me up to 32 bit color, and enhance some of my 3D games...and stuff...any ideas? If you can provide a price range on any of them too, that'd be great. ;)

How much do you want to spend and what games do you play or plan on playing?

also what are your other specs - you have Intel graphics, which usually means you don't have an AGP slot, limiting your choices a bit (understatement)

if no agp then get a 5200
it beats the 9600xt at the same price WITH call of duty i believe...

I'm not looking to play any thing too extreme, I doubt if I even play any thing on this computer, I'll just get my own, I was mainly just wanting 32 bit color. BTW, what's a AGP slot, and how can I tell if I have one...?

anyhoo: when u open up ur comp, u should see several slots on the motherboard (the big thing with the chips and fans and ports and stuff)
they are usually laid out as such:
AGP.......[________________]
PCI...[________________]
PCI...[________________]
PCI...[________________]
... and on and on...
the AGP is pushed further in, and is usually a different color than the others. there is always only one AGP, whereas there can be up to 5 (maybe even more) PCI

lol.... I'm not much of a hardware type person, but thanks for all the help. Since I'm getting ADSL (with a 384K downstream and 128K upstream) in a week, I can't really afford to go out and buy a new 180$ graphics card, but I'll look into it.
