although this is the wrong section in my opinion i would recomend irc. They have the newrer games and some fo the older ones and it is fast with the right bot.

I think you've exhausted any good sources. I personally don't have any good suggestions other than perhaps Direct Connect? And with your slow speeds, is ti anthing firewall related, maybe thats the problem :P
