it says the windows file is missing or corrupt:
sytem32\drivers\ntfs.sys

i cant reinstall windows cos it wont let me go in to the system recovery. :angry:

:( no cos thats what the recovery is its just the cds built in to the hard drives so i can load it up from there but theres a god dam file missing/currupt there :angry:

can u have a shot of a xp corp/pro/home disk, relevant version for what winxp u got.

u could try booting with the cd, and there is an option in it somewhere to repair the current install of winxp. try that

give it a go, it may work.

or i think u can do it via the dos recovery console maybe, but not sure how.

To install the Recovery Console as a startup option

1. With Windows running, insert the Setup CD into your CD-ROM drive.
2. CLick Start and select Run.
3. Type the following where D: is the CD-ROM drive letter:
D:\i386\winnt32.exe /cmdcons
4. Follow the instructions on the screen.
