Use nero and burn image. If you dont want to burn it you can use winiso to extrack everything out of it.

it is probably a self extracting zip file. either run it and see if it unzips it self or rename it to iso and try to open it with winiso to see if should be burned to cd.

either way burn the result to disc since you will need to to install windows. you probably could have donloaded a version with sp1 already installed it will save alot of patching.

its a compressed file
I extracted it by winrar

so now I just drag everything to nero to burn?
and when it comes out its bootable?

I'd contact TRshady it seems to be his baby he will know if it is bootable or not and don't forget to check for corroption KaZaa's go at this.

Thanks ck-uk for that.

You dont extract it mate ,just nurn the iso. After look on the cd and there will be a key.Set your bios to boot from cd when you'e ready.

Yeah, if it's ISO, don't extract. Just burn it. But if it's just like a compressed ".RAR" file, it take a little more work. You need the bootable sector from an actual Windows disk (can be done with ISOBuster) and burn in a certain mode, but I doubt it's like that because only a moron would do that and share it.

It should burn and work fine if it's a real file.

if the windows u dl'ed is an iso do this:

1. open up nero burning rom
2. cancel nero wizard (if it comes up)
3. click on file
4. select burn image
5. select the iso file (WinXP)
6. under "settings" in "block size" select 2352
7. select OK
8. BURN!

but as stated above. find a WinXP with SP1.
