Even though Spybot-S&D may be ass-ugly, it is one of the best programs out there. :)

V-Com Systemsuite 5, complete with Sygate-powered firewall. :D

Sorry, I should really point out that I installed systemsuite partly because the inbuilt XP defrag software is so fucking awful - slow as fuck, can't defrag the swapfile on it's own and only does one partition at a time. LOL I was looking for a decent all-in-one program and still haven't found one.

Disk keeper does it pretty quick even with large drives.

My "what the @!#$?* was I thinking" list:

1.) Limewire (non-pro)
2.) Tweak XP
3.) Anything else that made mention of the words "file-submit-dot-com" anywhere in the install.

Disk keeper does it pretty quick even with large drives.Heh, I have Defragmenter Pro Plus installed and it works very well (leaving it overnight if it's not been done for a while! :)).
I was after an integrated solution (that removes junk, purges shit from the registry, cleans caches and defrags) just for tidiness' sake.
I have used Systemsuite v4 & '2000' (when V-Com were OnTrack) before and they were good, but v5 is bad. I tried Norton SystemWoeks & Utils many moons ago but haven't trusted them for system stability since.
Don't get me wrong, I have everything covered, only it means having half a dozen different programs installed.

Actually I didn't install it, but I know someone who did. HAHAHA!

One program that pissed me off was Real Player. Simply the worst ever. Everyone knows why. No need to get into it. There was instances when (I forgot which version) it copied it's own installer to another location and if it was uninstalled, it would reinstall itself depending on a couple of factors. <_<

Anything McAfee. Just sux. End of story. You can't even uninstall it without it leaving mountains of crap.

I think "Bonzi buddy" is the winner...

Actually, it scared the hell out of me:

My boyfriend installed this for me as a surprise. I woke up one morning and someone was talking to me

"hello lay_dee_bun_ny_beer... you hav_en't talked to me late_tly. Would you like me to tell you a joke.... or sing a song.... (whitsling sounds and head scratching sounds)...":

He was truly EVIL... Days after that, he kept trying to help me surf... it took a few days to wipe him. We almost had to format:C.

My boyfriend was not so computer litterate then. He is now a paranoid computer geek. And if wants to scare me he just says; "HEELL_OH_LAY_DEE_BUN_EEE_BEER..."

Other than that, most M$ software is EVIL... (but we all probably use Windows)
