Buy a 800MB cdr/cdrw or overburn.

An mpeg WILL fit onto a 700 meg disc no porblem its all to do with bits and bytes etc,you can get about 820 meg mpeg onto 1 disc just drag it accross in Nero and cut.

Ive often had the same problem with backing up movies onto a cd-r. there are a couple solutions that i have found to work (havent had any luck with "overburning" though, cant seem to figure that one out).

1. download Dr. DivX (15 day free trial, but probably cracks out somewhere) and reduce the file size to 695 MB or so. this will slightly reduce the quality and screen size, but is a great option.

2. download VirtualDub and try to trim off the opening/closing credits. with a 770 mb file, that probably isnt an option.

3. burn it to an 800 mb cd-r. this hasnt worked for me either, as for some silly reason my cd drive doesnt recognize anything over 700 mb, lol.

4. download winRAR (a zip utility). it can split files into 2 parts to be stored on separate disks, though they cannot be watched, only stored in this format.
