Cpu Upgrade Question

ive got a AMD athlon 900mhz computer and i want 2 upgrade it to a AMD xp2600+ or a AMD xp 2000+ would i have to upgrade my motherboard as well???

also i recommend the 2500+ over the 2600+ and the 2000+

callum it says that the motherboard name and mptherboard id are unknown!!!!
