Hi,

I am looking for a bit of help here, my knowledge of this kinda thing is less than zero so my apologies upfront for any daft questions. I know that you can send a pic to your tv from your pc but I am unsure what you can send. I think you can link up your pc dvd player to your tv but what else, if anything, can you do? Can you watch .avi, or .mpeg files, play games etc. If any of these are possible what do you need to do it? Adaptors, leads etc?

any help/advice woukld be much appreciated.

thanks

Zero :)

Only one lead mate from your video card to the tv or vcr,its up to you. It'll run the same as a monitor then mate with a 1024x768 max res.

I havent used a monitor for a long time.I went and bought myself a 28inch sony tv 100hz just for my pc

if you have an extra socket on the back of the pc next to the monitor plug, then you can get 1 wire to do it.

if not, then look through this thread:

Thanks folks for the help, my card does have a tv out socket I have been informed, I just wasn't sure what it was capable of. My pal also wanted to watch films on his tv and asked me but I had no idea what to advise.

Thank you for all the help :)
