Prt Scr Button

Hey, just wondering, when i hit prt scr in full screen games then go into paint to paste, i usually get a full black image, sometimes with some white boxes or something in it, as if the colors were inverted, is this regular?! i dont think it is
regularly it works, just not in full screen game

EDIT Actually it works with some fullscreen games, worked with cs i know that, but it doesnt work when i am trying to play an emulator game full screen

Have you tried Alt+Print Screen, as well as Print Screen on its own?

It could be because the games have there own screenshot feature, I know in warcraft when you press prt scr, it will store the screenshot in the WC directory. So try going into the game directory.

it's an atari emulator! there is no game directory! :lol:
also happens w/ nes and snes emulators

I'm not sure but could this have somthing to do with video acceleration? :unsure:

It probably has to do something with the fact that you can't take a screen shot of a movie file (like mpg) with the Prt Scr button.

Maybe you could try a google search of "game screenshot software"

Sounds like the emulator is using overlay to display the video, much like most video playback software. PrintScrn always seems to ignore overlay...
