first hello,

i must tell you that i decided to join this place after my husbands friend
amazingly expressed his passions for it. nowadays, after it's a kind of ironical
my husband left me thing changed in a way i never thought before and i was
thinking maybe there are some ppl who could mentaliy support me.

while stepping in here ive found a topic saying klite is dead and the riaa is going
after the members? so, is it dangerous to come here regularly? could my boss at the newspaper fire me for browsing this site during the breaks?

thanks, amy.

No, this board isn't really Klite anymore.

You could get fired for using your work's internet for leisure purposes anyway though.
Check with your boss about that ;)

This is an internet forum. You are only discussing things and doing nothing illegal. You would have to check your employer for their policy on acceptable use of the internet.

It is as it says, FileSharingTalk :) And file sharing isnt illegal. People might have concerns over what people do over it but it itself is not. Discussions go on all the boards about the paranoia of RIAA & etc.

You are safe here.

Well it is illegal if it has copyright protection. But coming here and just talking about things and sharing your thoughts openly is not.

Browsing and posting on this forum isnt illegal. Posting direct links to cracks and warez is not allowed because the board could get in legal trouble if they allowed it :)

Your safe here

Yes you are right. Sharing open source or files which are not under copyright protection is fairly legal. But the act of file sharing isn't. Whatever purpose you use it for could be illegal on the other hand :-"

this forum may at times be immoral and many other things but not illegal...

D/L copyrighted material has not been deemed criminal(No one has gone to a criminal trial over it-however civil cases have been brought but none of these have even made it to court either..so technically it's not been court-tested in civil courts either..everyone has settled out of court so far due to what it would cost to fight in court)

You company might have rules about computer useage that vary from company to company...

other than that..Welcome to the Asylum!

My opinion ;) If you want to know anything just PM me ;)

As I prefer to say: Thoughts are like a treasure, if you share them another
person could enjoy them as well.

So if you have a crack, please do not allow anyone here to link to it. Then you will be fine. :D

Amy

This is an interesting and fun place to discuss topics pertinent to all manner of issues. The RIAA are only relevant in the US - a fair chunk of us do not live there. Consequently, I think this board is probably the very least of their concerns.

Presumably, you mean you intend to use the board at breaks or lunch. I can't see a boss being too excited about you spending all day discussing philosophy with Fugley or the reletive demerits of all the Whitehouse hopefuls (there has ever been) with J2K4. Obviously, if you were to start downloading the latest movies and filling the work hard drive to overflow you may well get a meeting without coffee with the boss. I should ask permission to use the computer in this way if I were you explaining you only intend to use the board.

The board itself is safe and moderated.

As are the members, as long as you keep that crack away from them.

As I come to the board this was really nice place with nice opened people ;)

Some things has changed - thanks indeed for the PM you've sent me - I've already
answered. I hope everyone here understand me that I am not posting the PM answer in the public, as it contains real difficult private issues of Amy J.

By the was Amy, there are sitll some nice opened people like nigel123, Spider_dude, nanotek (only in german), namzuf, Virtualbody1234, Bot, 7th,
Paul, VB, Arajag ;) and many more. I always knew you understand me, yeah you
aright some of my posts are probably hard to understand as they are open thoughts ;)

More informations are in the PM to you ;) David.

AmyJ-

Please describe these prejudices you mention.

And, to parrot the preceding posts, you are (or would be, if you stay) safe here.

Worry not. ;)
