What Do You Lot Think Of This Mobo?

I'm going to build my own pc and want to make a gaming pc on a budget.. anyways what do you make of this choice in motherboard...

I would really recommend the Asus A7N8X. It offers a few more features. How much does that one cost? You might be able to find a better motherboard for your money..

That shouldn't be too bad of a board if you are on a budget.I know where I am from that board goes for like 70.00 canadian,that is a pretty good price for a board that will run dual channel ddr 400 ram and has 8x agp etc. It's a decent starting point if you are on a budget.

ATX Midi Tower Window Case with Blue LED Case Fan inc Power Supply
AMD Athlon 2700XP inc Active Cooling
ASUS A7N8X Motherboard

For £210 inc. VAT and Delivery. ;)

Well that explains it.

The a7v8x mobo is based on the KT400 chipset. That chipset was designed before the specs for DDR400 memory were finalised, and is not fully compatible. If you want to run it with DDR400 memory, but synched to a 333MHz FSB chip then you should be ok, but I think you would be better with the Nforce 2 chipset.

Don&#39;t be fooled by that raid crap either, unless you want it for data redundancy. If you want raid for performance, you need separate channels otherwise it is a waste of time.
