Yep, thats what i meant. If you convert into vcd you can burn it on to 2 cd-r. But if you convert into kvcd (make sure your dvd player can play it) you can fit a whole movie onto 1 cd-r.

........... ........plain and simple, you can not copy from a dvd straight to cd. You must copy the dvd to your hard drive and convert it to a cd-r compatible format such as vcd, svcd, kvcd and what not. And btw, my vote goes for kvcd. :P

just like you can play (or copy to your harddisk) CD-Roms in your PC without a CDRom burner (as long as you have a CDrom PLAYER)

You don't need a dvd burner to copy onto hard drive. DVD burners (dvd writers as they're commonly known) are for writing to dvd +/-r/rw disks. A dvd rom (your player) can be used to copy onto hard drive.

Download and install dvd decryptor. Put the dvd disk into the dvd rom and launch dvd decryptor.

Select a folder you want to copy the movie to and click the 'disk to hard drive' icon. It will take between 5 to 20 mins (depending on size of movie and system specs) to copy onto your hard drive.

Once you have copied it you will then be able to convert to a format you can put on a cd-r (vcd, kvcd etc) so you can watch on your dvd player (if its compatible).
