Exactly what IS it with some of the mods and BD?

You&#39;ve got a pretty extensive mod list here, how come if BD is so bad.... ALL mods aren&#39;t putting in complaints?

Why does it seem to be the same ones over and over? And why does it have to be on such trivial bullshit matters?

The mods take on BD and j2k4 because they had a disagreement, so what? The same mods were happy to see a "brawl" taking place with other long-standing members and the Aussie&#39;s just over a month ago and jack-shit was done to stop it&#33;

Double standards... and sure I have no doubt those same mods will come out, all guns blazing, to once again try to turn this around as a Aussie gang attack.

This place has some really decent mods... people who some of you others could learn lessons from in decency and professionalism.

If you guys can&#39;t see that there is a problem here you&#39;d have to be not only blind but stupid too. What are you going to do about it though? Ban anyone who doesn&#39;t meet your criteria because they speak their mind?

I am really sorry to see Billy Dean depart from this forum. Sadly in my opinon, Billies style of rebellion does not stay within the Forum rules as do a lot of the actions by some Mods who also go unpunished. Billy, I think can not stop his violent reaction to what he considers a wrong doing, that is his nature, we cant all react in the same way.

I totally agree that some words should not be used but I think it&#39;s better if such words are not censored because it makes no sense at all.

Life means learning from mistakes and you can be sure people will learn from their mistakes others point them out like:

"Do you really think it is necessary to post such words here"

Censoring is NOT the right way to get around issues. It will just cause more aggression cause people will think that we enjoy censoring. The right way is to let people know what they did wrong and to discuss it - like I tried with BD.

BD&#39;s reply to my chat request was to post "7th told me i&#39;ll get banned" to get people on his side in the first place. This was a good example of issues we have with him. If something doesnt work out like he want&#39;s then he starts a topic to get people on his side instead to discuss the problem.

It seems like it is easier for him to point at other people&#39;s mistakes instead to think about himself first - or at least to wait until a discussion took place.

My idea was to talk to him and explain why he should take a timeout but the first thing he did was posting here that I&#39;ll ban him. He didn&#39;t even give me a chance to explain why I think it&#39;s best to take a timeout - he just posted without thinking.

I have nothing personally against him or other troublesome people cause most times PM do the job and people understand eachother better.

I can&#39;t do more than trying to show the teams point of view. In this case BD wasn&#39;t interested to find out WHY we think a timeout is needed. He was only interested to show me that our team is bad and that we are doing everything wrong.

I agree that something went wrong when IKE put him on moderation "forever" instead of 7 days but as we all know BD has a mouth and that&#39;s why i wonder why BD didn&#39;t complain about it in the first place. He decided to wait a month before he asked BOT to lift his mod preview instead to ask: "Why am I still on mod preview".

I mean common he always opens his mouth if he doesn&#39;t like something - why didn&#39;t he before a whole month was over ? Maybe to have something to attack us afterwards ?

Another fact is that BD is the ONLY member in our whole board history who had an extreme high warning level for personal attacks, insulting topics and more. It was just a matter of time until this had to happen.

BD posted with many different account names to get around his mod preview which resulted in his son complaining why he is banned too - well what do you expect from us ? to let it slip forever ?

Sure many of his friends won&#39;t like that he is banned but there has to be an end somewhere.

I already know what will happen next: BD will register a new account (like he said) and he will be nice. Then one day he will say:

"Look I created a new account and just because you didn&#39;t know it&#39;s me I was not banned"

Yeah sure.. if people post nice they won&#39;t get banned.

In total there are 90 bans in our database. The only ban I issued was BD&#39;s ban and a few bad nickname bans so it&#39;t can&#39;t really be me (even if people will always think that I am the ass here)

I don&#39;t care what people think about me cause this board is not my life. I just take action if action is requested by mods or if instant action is needed to protect the board.

If people can&#39;t accept this I can&#39;t help - sorry.

Actually there are only a handful of people, that I would consider responding to in world news, and those people know who they are. The ones that actually have an intelligent point of view, I may disagree with what they say, but I will respond accordingly in a fashion that is me, one that people may not like, but tough shit if you don&#39;t like it don&#39;t respond. To many people on the board are trigger happy when it comes to the report button, I&#39;m inclined to call these people, whiner&#39;s, sniveller&#39;s, rat&#39;s, prick&#39;s etc. etc. I think you get it. In some extreme cases, it should be done, if you insult someones dead parent you should be BANNED PERIOD. If you tell someone they&#39;re mother is a whore you should be BANNED PERIOD. If you refer to someones Mother sucking your dick you should be BANNED PERIOD. Not to mention if you are saying these thing&#39;s on a forum or in a thread you are a childish imature little prick that should be BANNED PERIOD. atiVidia followed B.D. around to post, but then conveniently jump&#39;s on the band wagon (I guess trying to score brownie point&#39;s), instead of seeing a thread started by B.D. and not bothering with it at all. There are definetely double standards in moderation on this forum. Not all mod&#39;s, but certainly to many. 7th please do not refer to this as a time out, you make me feel like I&#39;m in a discussion with a 7 year old that just pissed his pant&#39;s. Maybe it&#39;s time for some mod&#39;s to take a time out, and hand over the duties to someone else, so they can think about there action&#39;s.

As for the PM&#39;s from mods; l was talking about positive PMs. Ones l&#39;ve received saying they felt my treatment here was unfair. l had no intention of posting them, l don&#39;t want the good mods here ostracised by the rest of you.

As for me not receiving PMs when l&#39;ve been moderated; did you send one? The only mod who did was Bender. Any others l&#39;ve received was after the fact, when l&#39;ve enquired.

since i think that it is very bad if mods ignore complaints there has to be a way to stop all this cause it makes no sense to take action on some people and not taking actions on other reports

We started discussing this in team chat on 4th February, and at that time not one MOD voted for a ban, in a "secret ballot" type poll.

I abstained at that time, as i didnt think i could support any of the 3 options proposed...either as being unfair against BD or showing favoritism in his favour.

That changed when BD refused uphold his end of the bargain ....so much so that I used my vote for a Ban on 6th February, and that was reluctantly.

Quite frankly he was showing that he would not stop Trolling and causing trouble.

Im not the only MOD that has repeatedly spoken up for BD....but there comes a time when it has to stop.

At the time of the Ban, the feeling was unanimous, or at least not one person spoke against it..not bad for a fortnights work BD.. getting all the MODs from not wanting a Ban to totally changing their minds.

Only you could have pulled that one off <_<
