i was getting about 700k/sec upload on the linux mahcines at my uni. :D at 9.30ish in the morning, the windows machines are just pure cack. cause theyre old. and slow, they can barely startup.

Why don&#39;t we get these speeds here in the uk? :angry: . I pay equivalent to &#036;50 a month for 600k down/128k up. And this is the best deal over here :angry:

We need more competition over here. Lame ass BT dominates the phone line business and NTL the cable :angry:

Wouldn&#39;t that be a violation of anti-trust laws? That would make them more likely to push Disney and ABC shows on their subscribers, and stifle the competing networks.

i live in ann arbor mich they been doubled here for months now and yeah it kicks ass speed test are 3195 mb and only &#036;44 per month u cant beat that with a bat

If Comcast takes over, all the rides are gonna be really slow, cost more than they&#39;re worth and break down when you really want em.

Hey I&#39;m with NTL too, but I&#39;ve got the 1MB connection @ £35 a month.

As soon as I move house I&#39;m going to sign on with these...

Although Telewest already have 2MB connections available, NTL customers don&#39;t live within their area. Plus, Telewest charge £50 min for 2MB connection.

thats not the question &#33; the question is if u lot all have caps ;) i only have dsl 768dl 128ul yet i have no cap what so ever - i dl/ul as much as i can or want :P

Comcast doesn&#39;t have any official caps, but they have been known to warn people if they&#39;re downloading too much. I&#39;m expecting a letter from them some day soon.

lol yea no caps with comcast i avg bout 20 -30 gigs a months for 7 months they never said nothing to me. I squeeze every cent outa that 44 dollars buy downloading movies dvd ripps music etc. I could never imagine havbing or using dial up again ... i dont know how i used it in the past.
