A few weeks ago one of our sweethearts, a guineapig called Joe Dirt, got paralised

while playing with our cat.........

It was really sad to see him unable to move at all, it really broke our harts!!

The vet gave him an injection with muscle-strengeners twice, wich first seem to

work, but after a week he got a little sick again....

Normally he runs around the house, making all kinds of strange whistle-sounds;

now he was just sitting in the corner of his cage(wich is allways open).

A few days ago we saw this awefully cute very young guineapig in the pets store.

He looked like a very small sheep, all wooly and cuddly!!

This morning i decided Joe could use a friend rightnow and phoned the store to say

i wanted to have that crazy little white guineapig!!

My disappointment was big when i heard he was just sold to a nice lady.

No bells rang at that moment, but when Fre came in this afternoon with that

look on her face, i knew!!!

So, i introduce you to:

And what happens??

Joe just made his first steps again!!! :01: :01: :01:

After my last thread, you could see it coming: They both male!!

Normally you can't keep two male guinea's in one cage, but since they can walk all

through the house, it's no problem!!!

And for now, they seem quite happy together!! :P

@ Knuckles: That's my girl!! I love giving her points!!

Sorry for you all.... :o

I understand your advice, but with us the guineas and the cats(3), are free to go

as they want.....

That has been so for years without any problem, so we won't change that..... :P

Hell, even our dog, a labrador/retriever-mix, never touches the guineas!!!

And i can assure you, there's nothing like those little buggars running around... :P

It's a lot of cleaning though, they just shit and pee where thry like....

Bommel is a real pleasure to watch, btw!!!

And allready with his first pavlov!!! Crackling paper and it starts whistling like

Rachmaninov!!!

I must say, since the last kids left, it got a little quiet here, so some new noise was

welcome!!
